Heart-to-heart

Book choices for episodes or written reviews do not indicate blanket endorsements. I approach each book as an opportunity to learn something new; this does not mean that I agree with all the ideas condoned by the author or the approach to writing, particularly scenes of an explicit nature, that the author has taken.

I am also coming to these books as a reader, and while I may have more insight, whether through experience or research, into some themes or settings than others, my reading and these discussions are ultimately a learning experience for me as well as the listener. Although I do my best to represent ideas in a just manner and think about my words before I express them, I will inevitably make mistakes. I am always happy to receive feedback, including constructive criticism. You know how to get in touch.

While these two points may seem obvious to some of you, it is something that often weighs on my heart and, for that reason, I wanted to address it directly here for absolute clarity. I take this podcast and words spoken on such a public platform as a serious responsibility.

May Allah forgive our mistakes and shortcomings and allow this work to be of benefit.
